The Senior Associate, Weatherization Climate Engagement is a vital position within Community Action Partnership, serving as the primary lead for all efforts related to climate change considerations in the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) and the broader climate resilience and climate justice sectors. Reporting to the Project Director, this role involves research, communications, and network and partner engagement to support conferences, webinars, meetings, and publications that explore the intersection between climate policies or programs and the WAP. The Senior Associate will also represent NCAP in external meetings and events related to clean energy, clean transportation, and climate issues, and will play a critical role in expanding NCAP’s participation in renewable energy initiatives and clean transportation opportunities. This position offers remote work options and requires travel within the United States up to 25% of the time.

Summary

The Senior Associate, Weatherization Climate Engagement is responsible for representing the NCAP Energy Partnerships Project in various conferences, webinars, and meetings related to clean energy and climate issues. They will also support and expand participation in clean and renewable energy initiatives, engage with federal agencies and stakeholder coalitions, and monitor developments that may affect low-income renewable energy trends. Additionally, the Senior Associate will identify opportunities for clean transportation initiatives, monitor funding trends in clean transportation, and promote opportunities for WAP subgrantees to participate in EV programs and infrastructure development. Other responsibilities include contributing climate-specific content, tracking progress related to grant deliverables, and providing assistance to the NCAP Board of Directors’ Partnership for Climate Resilience. The qualifications for this position include at least two years of experience in program or policy support for weatherization or energy efficiency, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and proficiency in various software tools.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Represent the NCAP Energy Partnerships Project in conferences, webinars, listening sessions, and other interactions within the Weatherization and/or Community Action Network as appropriate.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the Senior Associate, Weatherization Climate Engagement position, the following qualifications are required:
