Responsibilities of a Coordinator of Adventure Trips & Camps

Supervision & Training

The Coordinator of Adventure Trips & Camps has the primary responsibility of supervising and training staff members involved in the adventure trips program and summer camp. Qualifications for the Coordinator of Adventure Trips & Camps Position

Bachelor’s Degree

Job Description

Managing the RecWell Adventure Program’s Adventure Trips Program

The coordinator will have the primary responsibility for managing the Adventure Trips Program offered by the RecWell Adventure Program. This includes overseeing all aspects of the program, including trip planning, participant registration, staff supervision, and safety management.

Managing the Summer Camp

The coordinator will also be responsible for managing the summer camp program offered by the RecWell Adventure Program. This includes developing and implementing camp schedules, coordinating staff assignments, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for campers.

Organizing and Leading Rock Climbing Trips

The coordinator will organize and lead rock climbing trips as part of the Adventure Trips Program. This includes selecting appropriate climbing locations, planning routes, providing instruction and guidance to participants, and ensuring safety throughout the trip.

Organizing and Leading Backpacking Trips

The coordinator will organize and lead backpacking trips as part of the Adventure Trips Program. This includes selecting appropriate backcountry locations, planning routes, teaching participants outdoor skills, and ensuring safety and enjoyment throughout the trip.

Organizing and Leading Caving Trips

The coordinator will organize and lead caving trips as part of the Adventure Trips Program. This includes selecting suitable caves, coordinating equipment and supplies, providing instruction on caving techniques, and ensuring the safety of participants in underground environments.

Organizing and Leading Coastal Kayaking Trips

The coordinator will organize and lead coastal kayaking trips as part of the Adventure Trips Program. This includes selecting suitable kayaking locations, teaching participants paddling skills, guiding participants on waterways, and ensuring the safety of participants in marine environments.

Exploring Outdoor Spaces in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania

The coordinator will plan and coordinate trips to explore outdoor spaces in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. This includes researching and selecting appropriate locations, coordinating logistics, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for participants.
